Not So Fast! Piolo Pascual Sets Limitations On Inigo’s Acting Stint!

PIOLO PASCUAL
Piolo Pascual is saying goodbye to his social media activities, starting with his Instagram.

Why Piolo left Instagram? Why Piolo stopped posting on Instagram?

Excited to know the real reason Why Piolo left Instagram? Well, check out the story and the trailer of Piolo's international movie "On The Job" below!

In the latest celebrity update, Piolo’s son Inigo is getting his first taste of showbiz via indie film ‘Relaks, It’s Just Pag-ibig,’ which is directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal and co-produced by the Kapamilya actor himself.

However,  Piolo is just like other father who is very protective to his son that he gives limitations to his son that he can only allowed to do and indie film so he get enough experience in acting which can help Inigo get a scholarship in film schools.

“hindi siya mag-aartista, not until he’s 18. The reason why pumayag ako na gawin yung indie film is because ang usapan naming, since gusto niyang mag-film sa college. Pwede siyang kumuha ng scholarship in any film school. Kelangan ng resume, ng credentials, kailangang may nagawa siya. He’s also doing theater in school. So, kung mag nagawa kang legit na pelikula, pwede mong gamitin iypon para makakuha ng scholarship. So, mas makakatipid ako sa college niya diba?” he explained.

In fact, Piolo still wants Inigo to focus his studies so he can finish it over entering showbiz.

“Hindi naman sa ayaw, gusto ko muna siyang magconcentrate sa pag-aaral. More than anything, it’s important to have education. Because kung wala, kung hindi siya mag succeed sa pag-aartista, anong dala niya diba?” he said.

The Kapamilya star also wants to spare his son from the ‘cruel’ world of entertainment.

“Bilang magulang, ayaw mong masaktan ang bata. Kung pwede lang na huwag na lang niyang pagdaanan kasi masakit. Pero at the end of the day, sa kanya pa rin naman iyon,” he said.

Apparently, the actor knows this all too well. Harsh criticisms provoked him to put an end to his Instagram account.

“It’s very unbecoming para sa isang katulad ko na magreact sa Instagram, tapos umabot ako sa point, minsan vulnerable ka. Tapos yung pagrereactan mo ay wala lang magawa sa buhay. It’s just a waste of time. Iyon yung sinasabi kong hazards sa trabaho natin,” he confessed.

In contrast, Piolo feels proud of “On The Job,” which was well received at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival in France. It won two awards at the 17th Puchon International Fantastic Film Fest in South Korea, where Joel Torre bagged a Best Actor award for playing a hitman while Piolo plays NBI agent Francis in the film, his first attempt at doing an action film.

“Noong binigay sa akin ito years ago. Sabi ko talaga, ‘Ibang klaseng pelikula.’ Right there and then, sabi ko, ‘Gusto kong gawin ito.’ Sabi ko talaga hindi ko bibitawan ito. The role that was given to me as an NBI agent is very intriguing, hindi kasi akong ganoong ka-aware sa mga nangyayari sa government, especially sa NBI. Mahirap yung role, pero Masaya ako sa ending ko kasi ngayon ko lang siya nagawa,” he said.

Meanwhile, “On the Job” is directed by Erik Matti and also stars Joel Torre, Gerald Anderson, Joey Marquez, Leo Martinez, Angel Aquino, Shaina Magdayao, Empress Schuck and Dawn Jimenez, opens in cinemas nationwide on August 28., 2013.
