After TV5, Is Manny Pangilinan Acquiring GMA-7 Too?

In the past few weeks, there are rumors are circulating around that Manny Pangilinan has already acquired GMA Network after a failed try nearly way back of 10 years.

In the latest celebrity update, GMA Network breaks their silence about this issue and released a statement that there is no truth to the rumors that Manny Pangilinan has been acquired the GMA Network.

“There is no truth to the rumor going around in social media sites and the Internet that Mr. Manny Pangilinan has bought GMA Network. In fact, there is no negotiation going on between GMA and Mr. Pagilinan regarding latter’s acquisition of GMA-7.”

Mr. Pangilinan is better known by his initials ‘MVP’ and he is the chairman of MediaQuest Holdings that controls equity of TV5.

However, MediaQuest had tried but failed to acquire a controlling stake in GMA Network nearly 10 years ago.

The tenures ‘MVP’ and ‘GMA’ became Philippine trending topics on Twitter since Monday December 26, 2011 until now.
