Jericho Rosales speaks about frequent comparisons with his co-star Piolo Pascual in ‘Padre de Pamilya’ and how he handles the situation or deals with it.

However, Jericho would rather stress on teamwork instead of competing others and he thinks that comparing himself with others is not right.

“Hindi naman naming maiwasan na ikumpara kaming dalawa, eh. Especially na ang tagl naming hindi nagkakatrabaho. Inisip na lng naming dalawa na mag-focus kami doon sa teamwork namin. Huwag mong isipin na, ‘Ikukumpara ako. Mas magaling ako. Ia-outshine ko ito.’ Actually, it’s a bad attitude. People will compare but we don’t focus on that. Tsaka ang roles naming, magkaiba.” He told in the press conference for Vantage double-bladed razors.

Jerico also said that his effectiveness as an actor also depends on his co-stars because if his co-stars are not effective everything will be not going to work and all he can do is to rely on his performance.

The 32 year old actor said that he learned the value of balancing one’s acting with that of one’s co-stars during his acting course in New York and he calls it, ‘a rehab of acting.’

He clarified that he did not go to New York to compete with local actors here instead he wants to improve his acting, gained more knowledge and build his confidence.

Meanwhile, Jericho was recently starred in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry ‘Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’ and for the latest celebrity update, he will be cast in the upcoming Television series of ABS-CBN’s ‘Padre de Pamilya along with Maricar Reyes, Piolo Pascual and Christopher De Leon.

He even pointed out that he is really excited for their latest Television drama since he will be portraying a different role. He already feels comfortable working with Piolo because since then they have been good friends for a long time.

“Masayang katrabaho si Piolo, ganun din si Sir Boyet (de Leon). I’m just so excited to shoot scenes with them. It’s always nice to work with your friends, kase magaan lang.”
