The American Idol finalist Jessica Sanchez will not perform
the Philippine National Anthem, contrary to speculations.
What happened? What she going to sing? Who will going to sing Philippine National Anthem?
In the latest celebrity update, the American Idol runner-up
Jessica Sanchez already confirmed that she will be going to sing the US
National Anthem “Star-Spangled Banner” in the upcoming Pacquiao-Bradley fight
amidst prior assumptions that she will sing “Lupang Hinirang.”
The Filipino-Mexican teen singer Sanchez expressed her
excitement on singing the US National Anthem in the Manny Pacquiao and Timothy
Bradley World Walterweight Championship held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las
Vegas on June 09, 2012 (US time) through her Twitter page.
“Singing the American National
Anthem @ the Pacquiao fight this Saturday in Vega! I am sooooooooo ecstatic!!:.”
As you recall in Manny’s interview, he expressed that he is
one of Jessica’s biggest fan. On the other hand, Jessica also expressed her
interest to sing the Philippine National Anthem if invited.
In the meantime, the Filipino-American singer Kirby Asunto
from New Jersey will be the one singing “Lupang Hinirang” in the
Pacquiao-Bradley fight.
