In the latest celebrity update, the Hollywood star Zac Efron is in the Philippines to promote a local brand “Penshoppe”. Before the event, Zac wants to have a tour in the Philippines for a little while.

The 24 year old Zac Efron arrived from LA, California around noon yesterday September 26, 2012. Zac also came here with his father David Efron, manager Jason Barrett and the Hollywood photographer Darren Tieste and they flew to Legazpi City through a private plane.

“Well, first of all this trip is an amazing, amazing excuse to go to the Philippines. I have always wanted to visit the Philippines. My dad who has been to your country several times has been telling me great stories about it,” Zac said.

Zac is in the Philippines to headline the Penshoppe Fan Conference at the Mall of Asia on Saturday September 29, 2012.

Meanwhile, Zac became famous when he appeared in the Disney Channel original movie “High School Musical.” Ever since then, he appeared in a number of films including “17 Again”, “New Year’s Eve” and “The Lucy One.” And now He is set to star in “The Paperboy”, which is set to hit theaters on October 5, 2012, along with Nicole Kidman and John Cusack.
