In the latest celebrity update, The High School Musical star confidently says that she and Vanessa wouldn’t go for the same guy.

The 28 years old actress co-starred in High School Musical with the 24 years old Vanessa over five years ago.

In fact, the two have remained close ever since and now have their own reality show on the E! channel, Vanessa & Ashley: Inner Circle.

The singer-actress revealed that while she is similar to Vanessa in many ways it doesn’t mean their tastes in men will be also the same.

“We’re completely different about boys. Like definitely different tastes. There is never any question about it, we would never go for the same guy at all, Ashley explained to Life & Style magazine.

On the other hand, Vanessa has been busy with movie projects recently and plays prostitute Cindy in “The Frozen Ground.” In the past she released two albums, but she thinks her singing days are over now she’s grown up.

“I don’t know. I feel like so many years have passed since I’ve done it and I’m different person now so the music would be so different. And I don’t know exactly what I would want it to sound like,” she said.

In an earlier episode of the series, Vanessa also revealed that the best thing about making the movie “The Frozen Ground” was researching her part. She thoroughly enjoyed visiting pole dancing clubs to prepare for the role.

“I have mad respect for the amazing pole dancers because it takes a lot of work… they’re like athletes. I did [go to strip clubs]. That was the best part. I went to like a bunch of strip clubs, and got to like talk to a bunch of the strippers,” Vanessa shared.
