Whether it’s Paulo’s craft as an actor or his passion for music, Paulo Avelino tried to be better by pushing himself to the limit even if it means breaking the bank according to the latest celebrity update.

“Ako kasi when I really want something, I really work hard for it. Kumbaga, kung gagawa ako ng pelikula binibigay ko talaga ‘yung halos buong sarili ko para sa ikagaganda ng pelikula,” he told the media during the launch of his brand endorsement, LG Mobile Optimus G pro.

In fact, some actors splurge on the newest car or newest gadget but for Paulo would rather put his hard earned money on a nice but pricey acoustic guitar.

“Kapag may nakita akong gusting-gusto kong bilhin, talagang pinag-iipunan konon-stop hanggang sa mabili ko,’ he said.

On the other hand, Paulo didn’t disclose the guitars amount but the particular guitar brand that he bought ranges from $2,000 up to $8,000.

“Sakto lang para mamulubi ako. [But] more than the price ‘yung tunog kasi ng gitara e… one of a kind. Napakaganda talaga ng tunog,’ he hinted.

In his acceptance speech for the Best Original Score trophy, the director (who also scored the movie under the name “Roger TJ Ladro”) said Paulo’s guitar played a vital role in doing the movie’s scoring.

Furthermore, the shy person Paulo shared that he’d rather stay at home and plays his guitar rather than drink and hang out.

                “Doon [sa gitara] ko na lang binibigay ang sarili ko,” he said.

Meanwhile, Paulo’s classmates in high school influenced him to play the instrument.

“Matagal-tagal na kong marunong mag-gitara. Noong time na ‘yon uso pa rin kasi ‘yung mga banda… Parokya ni Edgar, E-heads (Eraserheads)”, he explained.
