In the latest celebrity update, Jodi Sta. Maria can present
sexy actresses a run for their money. The leading light of the hit teleserye “Be
Careful With My Heart” established this when she showed up on stage in a
body-hugging sleeveless mini for the Cosmo Skin Anniversary fashion show at the
Mall of Asia Atrium last Saturday August 10, 2013.
“Hindi
ko imahe yon. Hanggang swimsuit na lang ako,” she explained.
In fact, she even turned down an offer for sexy pictorial
years back and even before the ground breaking “Be Careful With My Heart”
started airing.
“Hindi
ako ready,’ she goes on.
Besides she lost the 42 pounds she gained after giving birth
to Thirdy, not because she wants to show her sexy body but she did it for
herself.
The compliment of his proud son is music to her ears.
“Happy ako na proud sa ‘kin ang
anak ko. Importante sa akin that I make my son proud,” she said.
In fact, Jodi’s boyfriend, Cavite Vice-Governor Jolo Revilla,
is just as happy. He sneaks a quick look at Jodi while she was walking down the
ramp, then brought her and Thirdy to the FIBA-Asia Championship games to
support Gilas Pilipinas in its showdown against South Korea at the nearby Arena
(the Philippine team won).
Meanwhile, Jodi also said there’s no need to rush and they
are trying to take things slow.
“There’s no need to rush. We’re
trying to take things slow,’ Jodi describes her current relationship.
On the other hand, Jodi refuses to discuss the ongoing
annulment of her marriage to Thirdy’s father Pampi Lacson
For them, the more important is they remained civil to each
other for Thirdy’s sake.
“We
have to be friends for our son’s sake,” Jodi relates.
Jodi also said that Thirdy is aware of the current set-up
and has finally learned to adjust, thanks to her constant explanations about
the situation between her and Pampi.
The more important is that Thirdy knows she and Pampi are
always there for her and that she will explain the history of her estrangement
from his dad the minute Thirdy begins to ask questions.
“I’ll
take a cue from my son,” she said.
Apparently, Jodi notes that Thirdy is doing fine. He even
has the making of a showbiz personality like her.
“Nakita ko yon nung nag-shoot kami
ng commercial. He’s very cooperative. He knows what he’s doing,” she said.
However, Thirdy will not going to be a full-time in showbiz.
Like most loving mothers, she wants him to finish his studies first.
Jodi doesn’t deny that this early stage, Thirdy already has
a nest egg to draw from, thanks to his commercials with her.
“For
all you know, baka mas mayaman pa nga sa ‘kin ang anak ko e!” Jodi laughs.
