Executives of TAPE Inc. and GMA Network, the producer and
network involved in child actress-host Ryzza Mae Dizon’s show, respectively,
have admitted they committed lapses in the controversial scenes involving the
child.

As a result, they have agreed to work closely with the Movie
and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) in making sure that the
little girl only has child-friendly segments in her show according to the latest celebrity update.
The MTRCB chair Toto Villareal said that this close
collaboration will be done within three months. He also added that the show’s
producer and its network are asked to “submit concrete and time-bound remedial
measures, with adequate review and feedback mechanism for the approval of MTRCB’s
ad Hoc Committee.”
In fact, MTRCB noted that the only concerned over “who will
deal with Ryzza Mae in her scenes and how, such that her dignity and well-being
as a child are not violated.”
Acting as resource person in the meeting MTRCB called in association
with the eight years old star issue was Dr. Vanessa Cainghug of the Philippine
Psychiatric Association (PPA). She discussed how everyone concerned can
safeguard the child’s psychological well-being in the show.
Out-of-the-way from Villareal, TAPE Inc.’s president and CEO
Antonio P. Tuviera and SVP-COO Malou Choa-Fagar and GMA Network’s VP for
program Management Jose Mari Abacan and legal counsel Jose Vener Ibarra
attended the conference.
Meanwhile, the MTRCB’s Atty. Noel del Prado chaired the
proceedings.
