The hunk actor Derek Ramsay is seriously weighing options, now that his contract with ABS-CBN has expired.
Will Derek remain a Kapamilya? Is there truth to rumors that he’s planning to transfer to another network?
In the latest celebrity update, Derek Ramsay’s contract with ABS-CBN has already expired on Wednesday February 29, 2012.
As of now, he has yet to make any further decision according to Derek Ramsay. He also revealed that he and his father met with ABS-CBN executives Gabby Lopez and Malou Santos within the day his contract ended. But, he said the Kapamilya network hasn’t given him any offers.
“I’m gonna meet with my family this weekend. Pero hihintayin naming yung offer ng channel two. But we had a great meeting today. Sir Gabby (Lopez) had a lot of great things to say to me, tungkol sa pagkatao ko, which I really appreciated. Sinabi ko naman sa kanaya na my mind is open for everything. Ang gusto ko lang nga kusa nangyayari sa kanila then I’ll just compare whatever. So one step at a time this weekend. Kung umabot yung offer, siguro we can come up with a decision by next week,” the actor said during the press conference for Star Cinema’s upcoming movie, “Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang.”
In the meantime, there are rumors are circulating that the hunk actor was moving to TV5. it was first out late last year when Cristy Fermin announced in “Paparazzi:Showbiz Express” that the hunk will become a Kapatid in 2012.
However, Derek said there is no concrete offer from TV5 just yet.
“I have a contract with Smart because I am a Smart endorser but I have no contract with TV5,” he said.
Although Derek is always open to transfer to another network, it is not about the money and he already proven it. Last two year he was already offered something and yet he remain to ABS-CBN without any demands to give him half of the price he has been offered.
For the moment, Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang is Derek’s latest movie in Star Cinema along with Erich Gonzales and it will set to premiere on March 12, 2012.
