Skip Beat! Live-Action Drama to Premiere Today [with 20 min. preview]


The main cast of ‘Skip Beat’ and the members of Super junior Siwon and Donghae had a stopover in Taiwan for 6 hours to support and endorse their first ever Taiwanese idol drama “Skip Beat! This is the only time they have to do it due to their concerts and year-end award shows.

The two leading man was asked if they also compete with each other off screen since the story is based in showbiz  and the two portray the characters as rivals.

“Honestly, it’s hard to avoid disagreements between fellow actors, but I always try my best to listen to other’s opinions.” Choi Siwon said.

The 24 year old Siwon and the 25 year old Donghae spent 4 months in Taiwan to shoot the adaption of manga.

The anticipated Live-Action drama adaption of “Skip Beat!” is going to televise or to premiere today December 18, 2011 at 21:40 on the free-to-air channel FTV (Formosa TV) in Taiwan and at 22:05 on the cable channel of Singapore ‘E City’ according to the latest celebrity update

However, the cable channel of Taiwan ‘GTV network’ will broadcast the first episode on Saturday December 24, 2011 at 22:30 and in Hong Kong’s Television Broadcast Limited (TVB) or (J2 channel) took the rights to broadcast the ‘Skip Beat!’ on Sunday December 25, 2011 at 20:30.

On the other hand, the two are very confident to say that they are not scared of being judged against to the preceding one. They also spoke in Korean during the shooting.

Captivatingly, Siwon’s character’s voice will be dubbed by his costar Ivy Chen’s boyfriend Penny (Kun Da). Siwon also commented after watching the preview at the press conference on December 14, 2011,

“Very interesting. The dub is very cute and lovable.”

At the same time as Donghae’s character will be dubbed by Darren of ‘The Drifters.’ Darren also swear to give the fans a revelation if the ratings exceed 5%

Ivy Chen is the star of ‘Skip Beat!’ even though Ivy’s scenes have been edited out from the Black & White movie, she has more scenes rather than to the two male leads.

            “There isn’t a scene without me in it.” She laughed.

In the meantime, Lee Donghae also showcase his talent as well as in his composing talent. He especially wrote a song based on his character in the drama and it will be in a Chinese version and perform the ending theme ‘This Is Love.’.

The Super Junior-M will perform the opening theme ‘S.O.L.O.’ or in chinese ‘Extravagant Solo Show.’
